This was one of my first attempts at armor pieces, so I looked up a tutorial that used Wonderflex and Friendly Plastic. I used Wonderflex for the larger pieces, like the shoulder pauldron and the boobie-cup. Everything else is mostly craft foam or a thin plastic cutting board that I cut up.

Many of the fabrics I used were actually leftovers from various past projects, so this was in large a stashbusting costume. I used velveteen for the waist cincher (backed and lined with a stiff fabric), a crinkly gradient satin for the skirt, and lots of chiffon and swimsuit lining for the flowy parts.

This was also my first time casting my own resin gems! Lots of learning from this costume.

I made the epee/sword, as well. It is a curtain rod, and I used Model Magic to sculpt the dragon head, wings, and the half-sphere at the bottom. The hilt was some leftover blue satin wrapped around craft foam (I had to get creative here, folks).
